In Scotland, over 37,000 young people are currently undertaking apprenticeships across a huge range of sectors – from engineering to hospitality, financial services to beauty. These vary from school-based placements (Foundation Apprenticeships), to getting a job and getting qualified at the same time (Modern Apprenticeships) to undertaking a degree while working (Graduate Apprenticeships).
