DYW Glasgow Opportunity Fund - 12 Organisations to Receive Funding
Tuesday, 13 December 2016
Earlier this year, applications opened for our Opportunity Fund – a programme offering grants from £100-£7,500 to encourage and enable businesses and schools within Glasgow to engage with the DYW Glasgow agenda.
Having received a large number of applications across various sectors including construction, enterprise and digital skills, the projects went to a public vote as well as sent to a panel for judging with 12 organisations being chosen to receive funding:
- All Saints
- Rosshall Secondary
- Holyrood Secondary
- Lennox Partnership
- Rookie Oven
- GMG Contracts
- Glasgow Youth Council
- Drumchapel Secondary
- St Rochs Football Club
- Glasgow Marriott
- St Andrews Secondary
- Young Enterprise Scotland
Leona Seaton, Programme Director at Developing the Young Workforce said: “We had such a brilliant response to the Opportunity Fund from a range of organisations.
After much deliberation as well as a public vote, twelve projects that stood out and best represented the key areas of the DYW agenda have been selected.
With a great mix of successful applicants, from schools to charities to sports clubs, we look forward to seeing the organisations put their plans into action.”
