DYW Glasgow to support six projects through Opportunity Fund
Friday, 15 September 2017
Following the success of last year, DYW Glasgow have again committed resources towards the development of an Opportunity Fund to support, encourage and enable organisations in Glasgow to engage with the Developing the Young Workforce agenda – this time with a particular focus on equalities. Applicants were able to apply for funding of between £100 and £4000 to support their project.
Applications were received from a range of sectors and, following an online vote and panel assessment, six organisations have been chosen to receive funding:
- A&M Scotland
- Articulate Cultural Trust
- Hub West Scotland
- Move On
- Tennent’s Training Academy
- Young Enterprise Scotland
As equalities is a key theme to the work of DYW Glasgow, these projects were chosen on their demonstration of addressing this issue.
Leona Seaton, Programme Director of DYW Glasgow said: “Once again we have received a fantastic response to the DYW Glasgow Opportunity fund from a range of organisations in Glasgow.
We look forward to seeing the projects in action and sharing the inevitable positive impact that they will have.”
